Håkon Ege Elected to the EAS Board for 2027–2030

7 October 2026

Congratulations to our founder, Håkon Ege, on his election to the EAS Board for the 2027–2030 term, following the General Assembly in Oulu, Finland. His term begins on 1 January 2027.

Supporting athletes through sport and education takes collaboration between people and institutions. EAS — the European Athlete as Student Dual Career Network — brings this community together, connecting experience, research and practice across Europe. The network works to help athletes combine high-performance sport with education and to strengthen cooperation between educational institutions and sport organisations.

We also congratulate incoming President Mojca Doupona and fellow Board members Ilvis Abelkalns, Laurence Blondel, Cristina Cortis, António Figueiredo, Jaakko Aku Oskari Nikander, Mihaela-Raluca Onose and Antonio Sánchez-Pato.

We are happy to celebrate this moment with Håkon and the EAS community. Wishing the whole Board a productive term and many good collaborations ahead.
