BLOCKSPORT, Community and the Future of Fan Experience

20 October 2026 · Event recap · Luxembourg

At the European Angel Investment Summit in Luxembourg, Vládimir Liúlka shared BLOCKSPORT’s journey and how being part of GSIC powered by Microsoft and EBAN Sports has opened up new opportunities.

His story offers a useful example for SportsTech startups: building relationships within these communities can be an important part of developing a business. Alongside the work of building a product, founders need opportunities to exchange experience, meet potential collaborators and understand the needs of the organisations they hope to serve.

The value of being part of a community

Vládimir’s presentation brought those relationships into focus. The communities around sports innovation connect people working on different parts of the same challenge: how to turn new ideas into something useful for sport.

For Sport Singularity, this is a valuable conversation to continue. An exchange at an event can be a starting point for examining assumptions, finding shared questions and exploring where collaboration could make a difference.

Looking ahead to the fan experience

We are pleased to be collaborating with Vládimir and BLOCKSPORT, particularly around strategic foresight and the future of fan experience. Together, we look forward to exploring how fans’ expectations and their relationships with sports organisations could evolve.

For us, that exploration starts with questions. What might fans value in their relationship with a club in the years ahead? How could digital experiences strengthen a sense of belonging? And which assumptions about engagement should sports organisations revisit as technology and everyday habits change?

These are questions for exploration, rather than predictions. Strategic foresight helps make room for different plausible futures and consider what they could mean for decisions today.

Continuing the exchange

Across Sport Singularity’s work, Håkon Ege and Kamil Kazım Sarı bring this interest in future possibilities into conversations with the wider sports community. Kazım’s contribution at the same summit explored what could distinguish a SportsTech startup when AI becomes widely available. You can read his reflections in our companion event recap.
